Just heard my very first mass in my new parish church. I was approached by the lady who sat beside me just after the ceremony only to tell me that she's delighted to see a young lovely lady hearing mass at the parish. She said I stand out as I'm one of maybe 3 young individuals and only asian there. I told her I'm new in the neighborhood. She introduced me to the commoners. They all know I live alone and told me they'll look after me. They were all so warm. It made me feel very welcome. I was told I am free to come over and help out in the community if I wish. My parish is very much active in looking after the refugees here in Australia to assure that they are able to exercise the proper rights those refugees deserve.

My heart is just filled with so much gratitude just being aware of God's presence around me. Makes daily struggles about life a lot lighter because you entrust things to Him knowing that things will work out and in whatever's happening, may be good or bad, He's just behind you all the time.
